Rylan - 14 Months

Out and about this spring:

Patting a donkey at the Erie town fair.

At the Butterfly Pavillion.

The humidity made Rylan's mullet go curly!

Showing girlfriend Veronica how it's done at Little Monkey Bizness. The bottom lip goes out when he's concentrating. Veronica's goes in.

Out for a walk near our house.

Rylan learnt about throwing stones in the water.

More stone throwing. Getting good at it now that we've discovered a safe bridge that's a short walk from our house.

With the pretty clematis in our garden.

Crazy face!

Rylan got to drive a police car at the Louisville Touch A Truck event.

He loves getting behind the wheel. Surprisingly, he refrained from pressing all the buttons.

He couldn't resist this button on a motorcycle though.

Exploring an ambulance.

Cooling off in the paddling pool.

Learning to walk has been very slow, but he has now progressed to holding just one hand for balance. Not sure what the bottom teeth are doing!

Crawling doesn't slow him down at all and he can climb well. Here he is having fun in the bouncy tunnel at a friend's birthday party.

Getting more confident with slides now too.

Weeeee!

"Bye bye" from the loft/playroom.

Time for sleep!

Rylan - 13 Months

Bathtime fun:

In the garden:

Rylan finds the grass prickly on his delicate knees, so this is his outdoor crawling style.

Good boy doing some weeding.

To be or not to be?!

Water play. Of course, it wasn't long before he was in it.

At the park:
Rylan LOVES going to the park. He squeals with delight when he sees the playground and voices his disapproval if we walk past without stopping.

Springtime baby:

2010 - 7 weeks old.

2011 - Taken one year apart, almost to the day. What a change!

Rylan - 12 Months

Rylan LOVES sand!

And ribs!

And strawberries!

Listening intently to the Mexican painters.

Showing his mate Ben how to smash blocks.

The beautiful babies we hang out with each week.

Our New House

Here are some photos of our new house in Erie, Colorado:

The house before its new paint...

... and after. It's hard to tell from these photos, but the house is no longer grey on grey. It is now greenish with Arresting Auburn (maroon) trim, which...

... matches our car! (not intentional)

The view of Long's Peak from my office window.

The view at sunset.

Chris playing with one of his new toys. We had forgotten how much time owning a property takes out of your weekends.
